I believe dance to be a practice, a process, a neverending search for the “zone”: a perfect blend of movement, music, and artistry. As I often say to my students, “The process of learning to dance is dance.

Like many professionals, my experience began at a young age. My pre-professional training was in classical ballet. From there I made the transition to ballroom dance.

Since then, I have instructed, performed and competed as a professional. Along the way I owned two successful dance studios, and I still teach today.

I had the good fortune of being a student in the lineage of Walter Laird. For this I will be forever grateful, as I recieved what I now understand is a most special and exclusive training. It is my desire to pass that knowledge on to anyone who reaches for it. I would like every latin dancer to have the certainty and confidence that I have in my own technique. I hope my courses enrich your dance journey, and may you never be the same.
